تعتبر الحروب والصراعات المسلحة من أهم الأخطار تهديدا لمراکز المدن التاريخية، فهي تلحق دمارا ماديا ومعنويا يهدد بمحو ذاکرة الإنسانية بأکملها، فحرب واحدة کفيلة بهدم ما أنجزته البشرية في سنوات طويلة إبداع إنساني على کافة المستويات الحضارية وينتج عنها أثار وأضرار جسيمة المجالات (الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والعمرانية). وانطلاقا هنا تأتي أهمية البحث حيث يتناول سياسة إعادة الإعمار التاريخية بعد ويبين (الاقتصادي الاجتماعي، العمراني) بالترکيز مرکز مدينة صنعاء القديمة الذي تضررت حرب 2015م، کما يناقش الدروس المستفادة تحليل التجارب العالمية (الأوروبية، العربية) السابقة، للاستفادة منها تفعيل بالمشروعات المستقبلية. اتخذ منهجية لتحقيق الأهداف خلال مراجعة الأدبيات والنظريات التي تتناول وعلاقتها بمراکز ودراسة وتحليل أمثلة لنماذج واعتمد المنهج التحليلي المقارن للتجارب العالمية، للوصول إلى نتائج يمکن تطبيقها الحالة الدراسية (مرکز القديمة). تتلخص تحديد مجالات (الاقتصادية، الاجتماعية، العمرانية) تساهم بشکل عام ومرکز خاص.
